NSClient++ Help (#1) - Format Question (#512) - Message List
I was wondering if this was a NSClient++ version question, related to a standard formatting issue, or monitoring software. We currently get data,specifically drive size, from our Win2003 servers into Icinga and the format is in percentages with "All drives within bounds..." alerts. But on another Win2003 server that sends drive size to Nagios it comes in as bytes and we're wondering why there is a difference format. They are both on NSClient++ version: 0.3.6.818, below are examples.
Win2003 to Nagios:
SERVERNAME Drive Size - Critical Systems - Non Urgent OK: All drives within bounds. C:\=19155632128B;0;0; D:\=33795104768B;0;0; 1263589893
Win2003 to Icinga:
SERVERNAME Drive Size OK: All drives within bounds. C:\=64%;10;5; D:\=100%;10;5; 1263590358
Maybe this is just Nagios displaying that data differently but wasn't sure. We are going to do reporting features and byte count would be easier to read then percentages.
Thanks for whatever help!

Humm... check_nt or check_nrpe?
Nagios usually don't say "Drive Size - Critical Systems - Non Urgent OK" so thats strange (and I am 99% sure I never say that either)... The odder one is what I presume is the performance data which is not the same (which it should be)...
Strange strange.
I would run both those commands once from the command line and see what you get...
