I have been running 3.8 on all my windows servers, was just recently setting up 4 new servers. Of the 4, 3 work find with the 3.8 release of the 64bit client.

One server however isn't.

the latest effort I uninstall 3.8 and install :

NSClient++-0.3.9-x64-20110216-2246

Something is wrong with the counters:

Found countername: CPU: \(_total)\

Try see if PDH counters work on the machine in for instance perfmon

Huh, the perfmon counters aren't even there on the server. Working on how to restore them.
